About Suzanne Waldowski

Suzanne is the visionary creator of Songbook Ink as well as the founder of the music nonprofit, Jazz at the Ballroom. With a lifelong passion for the American Songbook, Suzanne has dedicated her life to fostering a deep appreciation for the arts and music.

Suzanne's creative journey took a significant turn in 2014 when she moved into the historic Bing Crosby estate in Northern California. The transformative adventure began when she brought the estate's iconic ballroom back to life by creating a music salon series. The concerts grew in frequency and attendance and in 2016 became a nonprofit, Jazz at the Ballroom. JATB now presents over 50 concerts around the country each year. In 2023, Suzanne came up with the idea to combine artwork and music after seeing how vocalist, Olivia Chindamo, learned lyrics. The first item, a musical advent calendar, showcases Olivia’s artwork (and singing) and led to the formation of Songbook Ink.

About Konrad Paszkudzki

Australian-Polish jazz pianist, Konrad Paszkudzki, is Creative Director of SONGBOOK  INK as well as Musical Director at JAZZ AT THE BALLROOM. In both organizations, he is responsible for planning, arranging, recording, and performing all the fantastic music you hear. He’s been playing professionally since he was 12—developing his own sound while staying true to his favorite artists—Oscar Peterson, Erroll Garner, Ahmad Jamal, and Nat Cole.

Since coming to the U.S., Konrad has played with the likes of the LA-based Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and the Jeff Hamilton Trio. After moving to New York, Konrad led the house trio at New York’s 54 Below and joined the John Pizzarelli Quartet. He has performed in over 1000+ concerts and tours in Japan, Brazil, and throughout Europe and the United States, including New York’s Café Carlyle, Bemelmans, Birdland, and Dizzy’s, DC’s Blues Alley, the  Montreal Jazz Festival, and LA’s Walt Disney Concert Hall.

About Olivia Chindamo

At the heart of our business is the whimsical artwork by the talented Olivia Chindamo. Originally from Australia, Olivia moved to the U.S. in 2017 to further her music career. In 2021, she became the first graduate of The Julliard School’s Master’s Program in Jazz Voice.

Now based in New York, Olivia is a full-time jazz vocalist and artist. Clearly a visual learner, Olivia memorizes lyrics by writing them out and adding complementary drawings to the page. Her creations are the soul of Songbook Ink, offering a bridge between art and music. You can see more of her drawings on Instagram @livmakesartwork
